Today we pay tribute to Carl F. West by announcing the winning nomination for an award in his honor. Carl was a founding trustee and the first President of the Board of the NJ Foundation for Aging, now NJ Advocates for Aging Well. A NJ resident all his life, had a long, distinguished career in public service. Carl worked tirelessly to bring the issues facing older adults to the attention of elected officials and policymakers. Nominees for this award — an individual or organization — embody the same dedication, drive and leadership traits that Carl had, are based in NJ and work on behalf of older adults.
