Staff from the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) shared the findings from its recent report on increasing the supply and quality of supportive housing to meet the needs of older adults across New Jersey. Earlier this year, CSH conducted data analysis finding NJ needs more than 17,000 additional supportive housing homes for older adults. The speakers discussed this data analysis as well as the recommendations a diverse stakeholder group put together on how to meet this need. Focusing on six key topics, including COVID-19, Service Funding, Capital Financing, Eligibility Criteria, Workforce Development, and NIMBY-ism, these recommendations will serve as a foundation for additional stakeholders and advocacy groups across the state to work toward meeting the housing and service needs of vulnerable older adults.
