Public Health departments and systems can make important contributions to the health and productivity of older Americans, and TFAH is committed to elevating healthy aging as a core public health function. A key component of this effort is building the capacity of public health professionals through training and professional development. TFAH’s Age-Friendly Public Health Systems (AFPHS) Initiative offers an “AFPHS Champion” designation to empower and encourage more leaders to champion healthy aging.
